BEHIND THE DESIGN — How These Shirts Became Part of My Story

I didn’t design these shirts in a studio. I designed them in the places where God rebuilt me.

Every line and every phrase carry something from my story — something from the Shoals, something from the river, and something from the places where I learned how to return to myself.

These shirts aren’t merch. They are markers and reminders. They are artifacts of the life that God pulled me back into.

Here’s the story behind each one.

THE RIVER REMEMBERS

“Where the water turns, the story begins.”

This design came from the quiet places — the riverbanks where I walked when I didn’t know who I was anymore.

There’s something about the Shoals River that feels ancient. It doesn’t rush. It doesn’t perform. It just moves. It is steady, patient, and faithful.

I’ve stood at those bends in the water and felt God remind me:

“You’re not lost. You’re turning.”

This shirt is for anyone who’s ever felt like their story was over… only to realize God was just changing the direction of the water.

It’s my story. And maybe it’s yours too.

KINGDOM VOICE

“Speak with purpose. Live with identity. Move with God.”

This one came from the season where I finally stopped shrinking.

For years, I let the world tell me who I was. I let trauma shape my voice. I let survival shape my decisions and I let fear shape my movement.

But God didn’t call me to echo the world. He called me to carry the Kingdom.

This design is the posture that I had to learn the hard way:

Purpose in my words. Identity in my steps. God in my movement.

It’s simple. It’s clean. It’s intentional. It’s the life that I’m choosing every day.

SINGING RIVER SCRIPTURES

“Before the blues… the river was already singing.”

This one is pure Shoals.

Before the studios. Before the legends. Before the stories were written. God was already speaking through this land.

I’ve always felt that the river here carries a sound — not just music, but more of a memory. A warning. A welcome. A witness.

This design honors the voice beneath the music. The voice that shaped this place long before history caught up. The voice that shaped me too.

It’s a tribute to the Shoals, to the stories that raised us, and to the God who was singing here first.

WHY I DESIGN LIKE THIS

I don’t create shirts to look cool. I create shirts to carry meaning.

Every design is tied to:

• a place God met me • a moment I almost didn’t make it • a truth I had to relearn • a piece of identity I had to reclaim • a story the river told me • a sound the Shoals gave me

These shirts are part of my healing. Part of my return. Part of the story that God is still writing in me.
